Terms of Use
These terms govern access to FreeTaxJapan, account behavior, and use of the filing tools. They are written in plain English because tax season already consumes enough patience.
Overview
Create a lawful account, provide truthful information, and do not use the platform for anything that would make an auditor sit down more slowly.
Section 1
You may use FreeTaxJapan if you are legally able to enter into these terms and you use the service for legitimate filing, account, and support purposes.
Section 2
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for the accuracy of the information submitted through your account.
Section 3
You remain responsible for reviewing your return before submission. Software can be careful; it cannot independently verify your memory of every receipt drawer.
Section 4
Do not upload fraudulent records, abuse the service, probe for vulnerabilities, or otherwise behave like someone who expects the fine print to admire the effort.
Fine print
You also agree not to submit documents acquired from a convenience-store printer at 2am unless they are, in fact, your actual tax documents. Time of printing is not the issue; authenticity is.
